What is Acupuncture:
A system of medicine that originated in China over 2000 years ago. Tiny needles are inserted at specific points in the body that affects a wide range of nerve points. These nerves sends signals to the brain, and the brain releases neural hormones that reduces pain and decreases the pro-inflammatory markers — including TNF and IL-1β — which decreases inflammation and reduces pain. Acupuncture may also stimulate the brain to secrete some nerve growth factor, and help the nerve to regenerate,

How is it done:
For most cases we recommend once week for 4 weeks and then once a month then every 2 weeks. A session usually last for 15-29 minutes. We offer packages for 8 session at a reasonable price. Please call the office.
with acupuncture, especially in dogs paralyzed (common dachshunds) from intervertebral disk diseases. In December of 2009, 6 dogs with posterior paresis (back leg paralysis) were treated in our hospital in Seattle, and 5 of them recovered!
